Team & roles

Invite teammates, assign Owner Admin or Recruiter roles, and manage workspace access.

Hirekal is a shared organization workspace. Use Team in the sidebar to see who has access, send email invites, and manage roles.

Every person who signs into the console belongs to one or more organizations. Roles control what each person can do - from posting jobs to managing the workspace.

Roles

RoleTypical useWhat they can do
OwnerPerson who created the org or received ownershipEverything an Admin can do, plus transfer ownership, cancel subscription, and delete the organization. Cannot leave without transferring ownership first.
AdminHiring lead or ops managerInvite and remove Recruiters, invite other Admins, manage workspace settings, post jobs, review candidates. Cannot delete the org or remove other Admins (Owner only).

Role descriptions shown in the invite picker:

  • Admin - Manage team, settings, and hiring
  • Recruiter - Post jobs and manage candidates

Owner is not assigned through invites. The workspace creator starts as Owner. Ownership transfers only through an explicit Transfer ownership action.

Invite a teammate

  1. Open Team in the sidebar.
  2. Click Add in the Team Members section.
  3. Enter an Email address and pick a Role (Admin or Recruiter).
  4. Click Send invitation.

Hirekal emails a secure link. The invitee opens the link, signs in or creates an account with that same email, and lands in your workspace with the assigned role.

Invite expiry

Invite links expire in 7 days. Pending invites appear on the Team page until accepted or cancelled.

Team Members table

The Team Members table lists everyone in the workspace:

RoleOwner, Admin, or Recruiter badge
JoinedWhen they joined the organization

Members are sorted by role (Owner first, then Admin, then Recruiter), then by join date.

Remove a member or leave

Remove someone else

Owners and Admins can remove members from the row actions menu:

RemoverCan remove
OwnerAdmins and Recruiters
AdminRecruiters only

The Owner cannot be removed. Admins cannot remove other Admins.

Confirm in the dialog: Remove team member? - the person loses access immediately.

Leave the organization

Any member except the Owner can choose Leave organization on their own row. After confirming, they lose access immediately. If they belong to another organization, the console switches to it; otherwise they are signed out.

Owners must transfer ownership before they can leave.

Transfer ownership

Only the Owner can transfer ownership - from Team or from Organization settings.

  1. Choose Transfer ownership on a non-owner member's row menu.
  2. Confirm in the dialog: the selected person becomes Owner and you become Admin.

This cannot be undone without cooperation from the new Owner.

Accepting an invite

  1. Opens the secure link from email.
  2. Signs in or creates an account with the invited email address.
  3. Lands in your workspace with the assigned role.

Success message: You're onboard - then redirect to the Dashboard.
