Getting started

Create your Hirekal account, publish your first structured video interview, and review a candidate response.

Adopt Hirekal step by step: create an account, set up a structured interview, invite a candidate, and review their recording.

Create your workspace

Go to app.hirekal.com/signup. Enter your name, work email, company name, and password. After signup you land in the Hirekal console as the organization owner on the Dashboard.

Invite teammates from Team & roles when you are ready. Set organization name and logo under Organization settings.

Create a job with video questions

Use the Create job wizard to set the role title, application fields, standard questions, and the required Media Responses video prompt — for example "Tell me about yourself" or a role-specific scenario. Preview the apply flow, then Publish so candidates can open the link.

See Job setup for the full wizard and publish flow, then Job settings for company branding and pipeline stages. Every candidate on a job receives the same fields and questions, which keeps first-round evaluation consistent.

Invite a candidate

Send the shareable interview link by email or your ATS. The candidate opens the link in a browser, checks camera and microphone, records each answer, reviews, and submits. They do not need a Hirekal account or software install.

See Candidate experience.

Review and shortlist

Open the application in the console. Watch responses question by question. Leave notes and ratings, and collaborate with hiring managers. Move strong candidates to the next stage and schedule live time only when warranted.

Transcripts and speech scores are prepared from the recorded audio to support review - they do not decide hiring outcomes.

Connect your stack (optional)

Use webhooks to push new applications and stage changes to your systems — see Webhooks. Use CSV export to download applications for a job from the list view — see CSV export.
